Our stud farm, built in the 18th century, is located in the heart of the scenic Odenwald, surrounded only by nature. The city of Erbach is just 4 km away an offers a variety of shops and restaurants as well as sights, for instance its castle and the Count’s world famous ivory collection.
The former mansion of the stud farm Roßbacher Hof offers our guests roomy 3 bedroom apartments with kitchen and bath for 4-5 people. Each room is cozily and individually set up. The old vaulted cellars are used as training and common rooms.
Non-riding family members are busy for days exploring the surrounding Odenwald and its historic old towns. The close by Wildlife Park with its rare species completes the leisure activities.
For the water babies: splash around all day in our swimming pond, located between our vast pastures or at the Erbach swimming pool. For those who want to go out on a longer swim, the Marbach – reservoir is only 6 km away.
Starting at the gates of our ranch, you can ride out as far as the hooves will carry you.
...and most importantly: the horses.
The main activity during your Ranch stay is, of course, horseback riding. A riding hall, an outdoor riding arena, a round pen as well as guest stables are at your disposal. Additionally we offer various riding instructors and customer oriented know – how. By the way, we are also a professional training center for future horse(wo)men.
