On the Canary Island of La Palma, just off the coast of Africa, Marion and Michael Richel have built a small breeding of Quarter Horses on their wonderful property. Their stallion is a son of Charcool and the broodmares go back to Po Bayoto Doc and JFL Offenbach out of Freestyle Ranch mares.
What was first just a hobby, now takes on new dimensions. Every time George and Julia arrive back in wintery Germany after their break in the sun, have they reported from the Canary Islands in such an enthusiastic manner, that more and more customers and friends desire to enjoy a similar holiday – with the advantage of not having to miss the smell of horses. Thus the idea was born that Marion und Michael also rent out their holiday homes to friends and customers of the Freestyle Ranch and even offer guided horseback riding trips to those with good riding skills. An outdoor riding arena and a round pen are also available for taking lessons. What you won’t find is a riding hall – but that would be as unnecessary as sending owls to Athens – the weather is great all year long!
In the future, holiday clinics with George are planned – starting winter 2008.
